Every pupil in the school has an Individual Education Plan that is planned to help them progress, achieve and to get the most out of their education. The IEP is a teaching and learning plan that sets out targets and actions for every child that is different from or additional to subject specific targets set from the B Squared framework.
The IEP allows staff to plan for progression and they can help the child become more involved in their own learning and work towards specific targets. Therefore, we have a pupil friendly version of this document in the pupils' exercise books. Form teachers evaluate these plans on a termly basis.
The IEPs are broken down into four sections. The first three; Literacy, Numeracy and Communication are referenced from the Literacy and Numeracy framework and the fourth Development from their statement.
IEPs are written and reviewed three times year.
